Cameron joined Orms in 2020 after working at BVN Sydney and a practice in Scotland. A graduate of the University of Edinburgh and London School of Architecture, his academic work earned the Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners scholarship. At BVN Sydney, Cameron worked on Quay Quarter Tower—one of the world's most complex adaptive re-use projects and World Building of the Year recipient. Cameron worked on 101 Moorgate from Stage 3 through to practical completion and is currently Project Architect for 7 Soho Square, a new hybrid timber office and retail development for Hines UK.
What does ultrapractical mean to you? Ultrapractical architecture creates meaningful impact through democratic design processes. Leading multiple packages on 101 Moorgate—a £50 million mixed-use scheme on a Crossrail oversite in the City of London—requires balancing technical complexity with human experience. The same approach guides my work on 7 Soho Square, where we aim to deliver a best-in-class CLT office building in the heart of London. This philosophy extends to my governance roles as an Orms trustee and employee owned council member, where collaborative problem-solving transforms challenges into opportunities. Ultrapractical means creating architecture that works for people while addressing broader social and environmental responsibilities.
