Colin McColl joined Orms in 2011 and became a Director in 2017.
He has over 20 years experience working on a range of projects across the education, residential, commercial, workplace and retail sectors. Colin is currently leading a number of commercial projects, including a co-working hub and complex refurbishment/new build in West London and a new build commercial office block in a sensitive location in Mayfair.
He says, “My career has included a number of buildings that are contemporary, but sensitive responses to their local context. I believe this creates an architecture that builds on and strengthens your personal relationship with the place.”
This is particularly true for a number of education projects he has delivered, including the RIBA National award winning Uppingham School Science Centre which he also won Project Architect of the Year for in 2015. Colin is responsible for all aspects of the office Health & Safety Policies and gaining ISO 9001:2014 and 14001:2014 Quality and Environmental accreditation.
