133 Houndsditch is a vibrant interior refresh to what was a spacious but dated and unused ground floor reception. Orms strategy was to transform the office user’s experience, using the existing backdrop of materials as a canvas for intervention. With an aim to create a warm and welcoming space, that inspired conversation and activity in the heart of the building. The area is encased in perforated mesh screens set into a natural oak framing which creates a striking ribbon of texture and light wrapping around the space with pockets of seating and interesting objects. An abundance of real planting and soft furniture settings were curated to embed the space with an inviting feel, with a new coffee bar at the end of the ribbon.
