Andrew joined Orms in 2014 and became an Associate in 2017. He is responsible for the studio’s recruitment, design reviews and the curation of our research work.
He says, “Fostering creative talent and ensuring that Orms are passionate, innovative and joyful is a fulfilling and exciting task. Our involvement with the London School of Architecture is a great example of how we continue to develop the architectural profession.”
Andrew heads up the studio’s involvement with the London School of Architecture and is an established leader of one of the School’s Design Think Tanks, which fuse research and architectural design. This year he has led the ‘Purpose and Pleasure’ Design Think Tank investigating the Night time Economy through the lens of health and wellbeing. Previous research topics have included an exploration of the role of the metropolitan high street in the digital age and redesigning democracy.
Andrew leads the team delivering the complex St Giles mixed use scheme in London. His contribution has been vital in gaining planning and listed building consent, producing construction information and delivering the project on site.
Prior to joining Orms, Andrew studied in Glasgow, Chile and the Czech Republic, working in both the private and public sector in Glasgow on award winning projects.
